Organization and Responsibility Distribution
Here you will find an overview of the organization and responsibility distribution for quality assurance work.
The Board holds the overarching responsibility for ensuring that NHH conducts systematic quality assurance work. The responsibility for implementing quality assurance is embedded in NHH's leadership model, where the rector, pro-rectors, program directors, department heads, and the director of NHH Executive (NHHE) are responsible for ensuring that quality work is carried out in accordance with the institution's quality system for the various parts of the educational offerings.
The full-time programs (bachelor’s, master’s, and Ph.D.) are academically organized in a matrix model and are not tied to specific departments or academic units. This means that each study program has a designated program director who, in the educational context, has authority over the departments. The departments act as providers of courses (supply side), while the program directors handle the demand side.
The program directors for the bachelor’s and master’s programs report to the Pro-Rector for Education, while the program director role for the Ph.D. program is overseen by the Pro-Rector for Research.
NHH Executive (NHHE) is organized as a division under the rector. NHHE is led by a director who holds academic, organizational, and financial responsibility for the educational offerings. Each program offering has a program director/academic leader who reports to the director.
