Organization and Responsibility Distribution
Here you will find an overview of the organisation and responsibility distribution for the quality assurance work
The Board holds the overarching responsibility for ensuring that NHH conducts systematic quality assurance work. The responsibility for implementing quality assurance is embedded in NHH's leadership model, where the rector, vice rectors, academic directors, department heads, and the director of NHH Executive (NHHE) are responsible for ensuring that quality work is carried out in accordance with the institution's quality system for the various parts of the educational offerings.
The full-time programs (bachelor’s, master’s, and Ph.D.) are academically organised in a matrix model and are not tied to specific departments or academic units. This means that each study programme has a designated academic director who, in the educational context, has authority over the departments. The departments act as providers of courses (supply side), while the academic directors handle the demand side.
The academic directors for the bachelor’s and master’s programmes report to the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, while the academic director role for the Ph.D. programme is overseen by the Vice Rector for Research.
NHH Executive (NHHE) is organised as a division under the rector. NHHE is led by a director who holds academic, organisational, and financial responsibility for the educational offerings. Each programme offering has an academic director/ leader who reports to the director.
