Rashid Mustafin is a PhD Research Scholar at the Department of Professional and Intercultural Communication at the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH). He conducts interdisciplinary research at the intersection of data science, business, and linguistics. In his PhD project, he aims to bridge linguistic theories and natural language processing techniques for market research purposes. By studying digital text analysis, he aspires to democratize access to market insights, empowering businesses of all sizes to compete effectively and navigate their way to success through confusing and overabundant textual data online.

Rashid holds a bachelor’s degree in linguistics and a master’s degree in English and American studies. Throughout his studies, he has contributed to a variety of research projects, including automatic detection of verbal aggression, recognition of political trolls on social media, and network analysis for innovation studies.
