Quality Areas

Quality Areas

To work systematically with quality assurance, we have divided the concept of educational quality into five areas: admission quality, framework quality, program quality, teaching quality, and graduate quality. Within each of these areas, the quality system is designed to contribute to both quality assurance and quality development of the educational offerings.

Admission quality describes the students' prerequisites for studying and is divided into individual and collective admission quality.

Framework quality describes the conditions for students' learning and includes the students' physical and psychosocial learning environment, the academic and pedagogical competence of staff, as well as functional administrative services, information systems, and library services.

Program quality describes how the program is designed and structured to enable students to achieve the learning outcomes at the program level. Program quality includes both effective program management and good program design.

Teaching quality describes the learning activities intended to help students achieve the learning outcomes in a course. This includes teaching methods, learning activities, assessment forms, and pedagogical tools.

Graduate quality describes the knowledge, skills, and general competencies students have acquired upon graduating from NHH. Emphasis is placed on relevance and preparation for both the labor market and master’s and Ph.D. programs nationally and internationally.
