  Research Label Call for Collaborative Scientific Initiatives Now Open! 

  

  Calling all researchers at NHH – it's time to unleash your innovative spirit and launch your research idea! The first ENGAGE.EU call for bottom-up scientific initiatives is now open for submissions. This call aims to foster collaborations across the alliance, empowering both senior and early-stage researchers, including PhD students, to initiate small collaborative projects.  

  From joint workshops to cross-disciplinary seminars, dissemination events to research training, this call supports a wide range of activities aimed at driving innovation and societal impact. With seed funding of up to 8,500 EUR per initiative, the possibilities are endless! 

  Eligible initiatives should connect at least three partner universities. Collaborating with researchers from ENGAGE.EU institutions allows you to magnify your impact and effect meaningful change in society. Create a profile on the ENGAGE.EU Research Community Platform to search for potential partners. Applicants must also ensure their initiatives address at least one societal challenge, as outlined by the UN Sustainable Development Goals.  

  Don't miss out on this incredible opportunity to ENGAGE, kickstart your research concept and inspire! The application form is very short, requiring little more than partner details, a description of the initiative (max. 5000 characters) and budget sheet.

  PhD Workshop & Early-Stage Researcher Symposium

  Application period: 3 April - 26 April 2024

  Information meeting: 9 April 2024, 17:00

  This event will bring together PhD students and post-doctoral researchers from the 9 partner universities. The aim is to deepen the discussion on research projects and to develop ideas in relation to the three societal themes which are at the core of the ENGAGE.EU alliance. To maximize the opportunities for feedback and networking, senior scholars from all partner universities will also be invited to the event.

  Interested participants can apply to join and submit their work to one of the three interdisciplinary “thematic tracks”: Artificial intelligence and society, Leading the green transition and Inequalities and just mobility opportunities.

  About the workshop:

  • Place: Luiss University (Rome)
  • Level: PhD students and early-stage researchers (up to 4 years after the PhD) from all disciplines,
  • On-Campus: 5-7 June 2024

  The ENGAGE.EU Think Tank is a forum for intensive interdisciplinary academic exchange where researchers confront the critical societal challenges of our time, where boundaries of research and innovation are challenged, where outstanding collaborations become possible, and where original thinking is the norm. At the ENGAGE.EU Think Tank, researchers exchange their ideas with colleagues from ENGAGE.EU partners and learn from leading industry and policy experts. 

  A research stay at the ENGAGE.EU Think Tank took place in Spring 2024 at NHH Norwegian School of Economics. The research topic was: "Leading the green transition: Advancing research for sustainable value creation".
