The Hub@NHH welcomes Altibox!
‘Being a member of The Hub will help us continue to innovate and develop better customer journeys as well as products and services,’ says Tor Morten Osmundsen, CEO at Altibox.
Altibox is one of Norway’s largest TV and broadband providers, with over 700,000 subscribers and close to one and a half million users of their broadband services. After seeing the research and insights behind the Norwegian Innovation Index, the company joined up as a HUB member to both benefit from and bring value to the network.
CEO of Altibox, Tor Morten Osmundsen explains:
‘Altibox is putting substantial efforts into digital transformation and innovation. This should be no surprise, considering our products and services are all digital.’
A journey of renewal
NHH’s Norwegian Innovation Index (2021) showed positive results for Altibox. This was the first year that Altibox took part in the annual survey, which asks customers about how they experience companies commercial, digital, and social innovations. In the digital innovation category, Altibox entered straight into sixth place with a score of 75.5 out of 100. The five companies that were ranked higher were Sbanken, Komplett and the three international giants Netflix, HBO and Airbnb.
Altibox, established in 2012, is a company in the Lyse Group. Altibox delivers broadband internet, IPTV and IP telephony through fiber optic cable, and has over 700,000 subscribers and close to one and a half million Norwegians use their broadband services.
Altibox is Norway's largest supplier of fiber broadband and the second largest TV distributor regardless of distribution technology.
Although our customers are pleased with Altibox’ digital innovation abilities, the company continues to strive to enhance the digital customer experience, says Osmundsen.
‘We have recently rolled out a new Business Support System (BSS) for our company and all the Altibox partners over the entire country. The system integrates business processes which will further improve the customer journey with personalized communication and offerings as well as seamless self-service solutions,’ he explains.
‘Altibox is on a journey of renewal; renewing business processes, renewing market offerings, and renewing competences and capabilities. These are all critical elements for agile transformation in a digital and highly competitive marketplace,’ the professor says.
Personalization is the name of the game
Viewing habits over the past decade has changed dramatically, and users now expect services to know them personally and tailor content to them accordingly.
Osmundsen views digitalisation as a tool to help meet the expectations of the future Altibox customer.
‘I believe that through digitalisation we will make the experience for our users more personalized, relevant, and easier to consume – anytime and anywhere,’ Osmundsen says.
‘The customers will have bigger expectations to products and services, and it is our job to meet and hopefully even exceed those expectations,’ the director finishes.
