EADI (European Association of Development Research and Training Institutes) and NFU (Norwegian Association of Development Research) join forces in 2017 with the University of Bergen (UiB) and the Chr. Michelsen Institute (CMI) for the EADI NORDIC conference. The conference's main theme is "Globalisation at the crossroads - rethinking inequalities and boundaries". Bertil Tungodden from FAIR-The Choice Lab held a plenary keynote on inequality in a globalised world. In his keynote, Bertil Tungodden discussed experimental evidence showing how people distinguish between fairness and inequality, and implications of this research for our understanding of global development.
The EADI NORDIC conference targets scholars, students, practitioners and policy-makers within the broad field of development research. Other keynote speakers include Professor Rohini Somanathan (Delhi School of Economics) and Professor Karl Ove (Kalle) Moene (University of Oslo).
