Nordic Conference in Development Economics

The 19th NCDE conference is organised from 16 to 17 June at the Norwegian School of Economics. Keynote speakers are Axel Dreher (Heidelberg University) and Tessa Bold (Stockholm University).

The 19th NCDE conference is organised by Chr. Michelsen Institute, the Department of Economics at the University of Bergen, and FAIR - Centre for Experimental Research on Fairness, Inequality and Rationality. Vincent Somville from FAIR is part of the organizing committee. The conference is organized on behalf of the Nordic Network in Development Economics. The network includes senior and junior researchers as well as PhD candidates working in the Nordic countries. Researchers and PhD candidates working in other countries are welcome as well.

The conference will take place at the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH), and is expected to last for two full days, from Tuesday morning (9:00AM) until Wednesday afternoon (4:30PM). Axel Dreher (Heidelberg University) and Tessa Bold (Stockholm University) are keynote speakers.

Call for papers
The conference is open for submissions within any sub-field of development economics. PhD students are encouraged to submit papers and to participate in the conference. This will be an excellent opportunity for economists working on development issues to share their ongoing research with a wide range of colleagues from all Nordic countries as well as participants from other countries.

Deadline for submission of paper: 13 April
Expected decision on submission: 
27 April 
Registration (participants with and without paper): 27 April to 17 May
