Innovating across global markets – with integrity
NHH Forum is an annual academic seminar arranged by the faculty and students at NHH, in collaboration with large corporations. This year CSI partner Telenor was invited.
18 October, Telenor with CEO Sigve Brekke and six other high-ranking members from different parts of Telenor’s management talked about subjects spanning from business development and sustainability to technology and innovation in areas like artificial intelligence and the internet of things.
In an era where competition spans continents and is becoming a blend of local and global services, companies across industries need to rethink how to innovate. Rapid digitalization and dissemination of information and services sweep societies, and in a transformative way that requires innovation with integrity to build sustainable business.
Sigve Brekke and his team pointed out five areas of challenges and opportunities:
- Increased involvement
- Rapid growth
- First-term benefit
- Continuous exploration
The NHH forum open seminar followed by lunch and mingling in the student cafeteria, where Telenor presented projects and initiatives in Norway and other markets.
In a closed workshop after lunch with Telenor’s top management team, CSI Managing Director, Professor Tor W. Andreassen and Research Director Business Model Innovation, Assistant Professor Tina Saebi gave two presentations: “Making the invisble visble” and “Business model innovation: managing complexity” respectively.
