Haiying Jia to Business and Management Science
Haiying from China is one of the new faculty members at the Department of Business and Management Science and Centre for Shipping and Logistics. "I look forward to teaching and interacting with the young ambitious people here at NHH", Haiying says.
Her research interests cover shipping economics, finance, energy economics and international trade.
Haiying will be teaching ENE 431 Shipping Economics and Analytics and Asset Based Finance (FIE).
Her position is a four-year tenure track/associate professor position.
Haiying is a Norwegian citizen, born and raised in China.
She has a PhD in Finance from Cass Business School in London, where she also worked in the hedge fund industry for a number of years before joining the academia in 2014 at the Center for Applied Research (SNF) at NHH.
For the past academic year (2018-2019), Haiying has been a visiting scholar at MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology).
