She focuses on professional translation competence, and specifically translation competence development, that is how bilinguals go from simply handling two languages to being professional translators within specialized fields like legal and economic translation.

Claudia is teaching English for Business I and English for Business II.

"The department is a productive and thriving environment for research on professional language use and translation, which I have enjoyed and admired for a number of years. I will also be able to utilize my research expertise to further develop the National Translator Accreditation Exam here at NHH. Last, but not least, I have great colleagues who brighten up every workday, both academically and socially", Claudia says.

Claudia holds a PhD from NHH from 2018. She has been assistant professor at FSK from August 2017 to June 2019 teaching the Business English courses.

She holds a Master of Arts in English with a specialization in English Linguistics from the University of Bergen (2011).
