There is a raising awareness of the benefits for academic staff to document and represent development and implementation of teaching strategies and skills.

In the future, it will be more important to document your teaching competence. A teaching portfolio could be an effective way for you to reflect upon, describe, and document your teaching practice, philosophy, and achievements.

The teaching portfolio will be useful for you when applying for academic positions, for the coming distinction Excellent Teaching Practitioner (Merit System for Teaching at NHH) or for personal promotion to full professorship.
