NHH buys Merino
NHH is growing, and in the long term the we will grow out of our facilities. At our centenary in 2036, we estimate to have 5,000 students and 700 employees. To meet this growth, we are now buying the Merino building.
Klas Rønning, NHH's Director of Property Management, says that we are now in the final negotiations with Rexir who owns the Merino building.
"The negotiations have been particularly demanding. I am relieved that NHH's critical area needs now seem to be resolved", says Klas.
Part of the financing solution is that the majority of the fifth floor, towards the sea, is sectioned into three large luxury apartments with a roof terrace. NHH employees will receive pre-emption rights. Each apartment will be about 300 square meters with parking on the lower floor and elevator directly to the apartment. Read more about the apartments
Principal Øystein is pleased.
"We have had a good dialogue with the Ministry, which has finally said go for the purchase to meet NHH's future space needs", says Øystein.
