InternAbroad program

Do you wish to give your students international work experience as a part of their degree? InternAbroad funds Norwegian institution that will build structures for credit-yielding internship in Brazil, Canada, India, China, Russia, South Africa or USA.

You can get financial support for:
- salary for planning and supervision
- travel costs for staff in relation to planning and supervision
- eventual extra scholarship for students
- insurance of students

InternAbroad aims to increase knowledge about the international labor market at the Norwegian higher educational institutions and strengthen the collaboration between higher educational institutions and enterprises in public and private sector.

The programme gives funding to Norwegian higher educational institutions, so that they can build structures for international, credit-yielding internships for their students.

The internship must take place in specific countries outside Europe, with the aim of establishing lasting structures and good routines for international internships integrated in the student’s degree.

InternAbroad is based on a collaboration between Diku and Innovation Norway. Both can assist in planning and implementation of the projects.

Credit-bearing internships

This spring, NHH is launching the credit-bearing course Internship Abroad as an elective course in our bachelor’s and master’s degree programmes. Kristin Rygg at FSK is the course coordinator, and there has been huge interest among the students.
