Do you have an idea for a project related to your teaching? Diku has now announced two calls for applications: one for the Partnership Program for North-America, and one for the InternAbroad program. Application deadline is 25 September.
This call is for applications for funding of joint projects between higher education institutions in Norway, Canada and the United States of America. The call is part of the Partnership Program for Higher Education Collaboration with North America, and funded by the Norwegian Ministry of Education and Research.
The purpose of the program is to support cooperation of high quality, within all disciplines, to develop and strengthen lasting institutional partnership between Norway, USA and Canada. Partnership involving cooperation with enterprises in public or private sector are encouraged.
Duration: This call is for projects with a duration of two years from 1 January 2020 to 31 December 2021.
Central objectives are increased:
- academic cooperation
- connections between research and education
- collaboration with enterprises in the public and private sectors
- student mobility.
Do you wish to give your students international work experience as a part of their degree? InternAbroad funds Norwegian institution that will build structures for credit-yielding internship in Brazil, Canada, India, China, Russia, South Africa or USA.
You can get financial support for:
- salary for planning and supervision
- travel costs for staff in relation to planning and supervision
- eventual extra scholarship for students
- insurance of students
InternAbroad aims to increase knowledge about the international labor market at the Norwegian higher educational institutions and strengthen the collaboration between higher educational institutions and enterprises in public and private sector.
The programme gives funding to Norwegian higher educational institutions, so that they can build structures for international, credit-yielding internships for their students.
The internship must take place in specific countries outside Europe, with the aim of establishing lasting structures and good routines for international internships integrated in the student’s degree.
InternAbroad is based on a collaboration between Diku and Innovation Norway. Both can assist in planning and implementation of the projects.
