Maximilian Rohrer to FIN
"The Department of Finance is publishing well and the social environment is great", says one of the two new Assistant Professors at the department, affiliated to the Centre for Corporate Finance. Maximilian Rohrer's position is a seven year tenure track.
Maximilian's research interests include Empirical Corporate Finance, Empirical Asset Pricing and Textual Data Analysis.
In his research, he uses insights and tools from Computational Linguistics and applies them in the fields of Empirical Corporate Finance and Empirical Asset Pricing.
This semester he has been teaching BAN432 Applied Textual Data Analysis for Business and Finance
Maximilian is from Austria. After obtaining a Master’s Degree from NHH, he moved to Oslo. In Spring 2018, he was awarded a PhD from BI Norwegian Business School under the supervision of Professor Øyvind Norli. During his PhD, he went on a research visit to Leeds Business School, Colorado University at Boulder, hosted by Prof. Diego Garcia.
