Elise Kongsvik new HR Director
NHH’s new HR director is Elise Kongsvik. She has worked at NHH for the past five years and has been acting HR director since December 2016. She will formally take up the position on 1 June.

"There was a handful of very good candidates among the 26 applicants. In the end, we were left with two well-qualified applicants, and the one who was most able to meet our requirements and wishes for the position was Elise Kongsvik," says Gunnar E. Christensen, Vice Rector for Faculty Affairs and HR.
He continues: "In an organisation like NHH, which has ambitious goals in the both the national and international arena, considerable emphasis must be placed on an applicant’s ability to demonstrate authority and efficiency in demanding situations. Elise Kongsvik will be an enthusiastic and efficient HR director".
"I am concerned with further professionalising the Office of Human Resources to ensure that we can be good advisors and partners to all of NHH," says Elise.
Elise Kongsvik (49) has a cand.jur. degree from the University of Bergen (1997) and additional education in management and organisational development from NHH. She has worked as a legal adviser for the National Insurance Service and Norwegian Customs and as an assistant judge. Between 2010 and 2013, she was Head of the tax collection group at Bergen tax collection office.
Since 2013, she has worked at NHH as a senior legal adviser, but has been acting HR director for two periods, most recently from December 2016 and until today.
