Floris Zoutman in fixed position

Floris Zoutman at the Department of Business and Management Science has now taken up a tenured position as associate professor. His research field is public economics.

Floris Zoutman holds a PhD from the Erasmus University in Rotterdam from 2014. His research interests include optimal taxation, political competition, and social insurance.

He has published in the Economic Journal and in the Journal of Public Economics. He has won the FIBE 2017 Publishers' Award.

He has been a visiting student researcher at UC Berkeley and a visiting scholar at CPB Netherlands Bureau for Economic Policy Research. In 2013 he received the IIPF Young Economists Award.

Floris Zoutman is teaching the course Personal Finance and Taxation (FIE 457) this semester.

Recruitment the most important

Six new associate professors are now in place in permanent positions at the Department of Business and Management Science. ‘In the long run, recruitment work is the most important job we do at the department,’ says Head of Department Frode Sættem.

Zoutman wins FIBE Publishers’ award

The winners of the FIBE 2017 Publishers’ award are Sander Renes and Floris T. Zoutman for the paper As Easy as ABC? Multidimensional Screening in Public Finance.
