Seminar: Spice up your research

Seminar: Spice up your research

One of NHH's goal is to increase externally funded research, including EU-funded research, by succeeding in the national and international competition for research funding. Join us at the seminar on 6 October and learn more about the opportunities.

Horizon 2020 is the EU Research and Innovation Programme and the largest programme of its kind in the world, with a budget of EUR 80 billion for the period 2014–2020. Norway participates as a full member.

Horizon 2020 is divided into three programme sections which comprise its basic pillars:

  • Excellent Science
  • Industrial Leadership
  • Societal Challenges

In addition to these three pillars, Horizon 2020 also includes some other sections.

The PES2020 scheme is one of several funding instruments employed by the Research Council of Norway to strengthen Norwegian participation under H2020 and improve returns in the form of greater project funding from H2020. The EU funding arena is highly competitive, and it takes knowledge, time and resources to prepare good project proposals. The PES2020 scheme is designed to relieve some of the cost burden for Norwegian applicants related to the preparation of project proposals.

Earlier this year the Office of Research Administration at NHH with Bjarte Grønner and Bente Ulvestad, applied and received funding under this PES2020 scheme.

The "Spice up your research: Add EU funding" seminar on 6 October is supported by this funding.

All NHH researchers, both those early in their career and established professors, are welcome to the seminar to get a taste of the EU funding opportunities.
