Local wage negotiations - results

This year’s local wage negotiations for NHH employees have now been finalised. The protocol from the negotiations is public and is available at the Office of Human Resources in the Main building.

In 2016, two collective wage agreements were established for state employees, including NHH employees.

One agreement concerns members of Forskerforbundet (UNIO), Utdanningsforbundet (UNIO), Parat (YS) and NTL (LO), in addition to all employees who are not members of a trade union. The other agreement concerns members of organisations belonging to Akademikerne. 

NHH has carried out separate wage negotiations for these two groups in the negotiations for the year 2017.

NHH and the employees’ representatives have agreed to exclude some groups of employees from the salary negotiations, according to the following principles:

  1. Faculty in temporary positions, except for post doctors/assistant professors.
  2. Administrative staff on short time contracts.
  3. Employees who have had or will have a salary assessment in 2017:
    - employees who started work at NHH in 2017
    - employees who already have been or will be granted a salary rise – salary negotiations on special terms
    - managers who report directly to the Rector
    - research scholars (all have been granted a salary rise in 2017, based on seniority)

RESULTS FROM THE NEgOTIATIONS

Members of UNIO, Parat, NTL and employees who are not member of a union – effective from 1 July 2017:
The local salary negotiations are based on the fact that every employee, including the groups listed above, already have been granted a salary rise of 0,33 percent, as a result of central salary negotiations, effective from 1 May 2017.

Additional rise for employees included in the local negotiations:

  • Faculty: General rise of NOK 4 900 per year, plus 0,7458 percent of current salary.
  • Administrative staff: General rise of NOK 6 100 per year.

Members of Akademikerne – salary rise effective from 1 October 2017:
All employees who started work before 1 May 2017, including employees listed above, are granted a basic rise of 0,33 percent of current salary.  This corresponds with the salary rise granted to other employees as a result of central salary negotiations.

Additional rise for employees included in the local negotiations:

  • Faculty: General rise of NOK 4 900 per year, plus 0,7458 percent of current salary.
  • Administrative staff: General rise of NOK 6 100 per year.

New salaries will be paid in December 2017 – together with back pay from 1 July or 1 October, respectively.

Public protocol

The protocol from the negotiations is public and will be available at the Office of Human Resources (2nd floor in the Main building) from 15 November to 6 December 2017, during working hours.
