Brian Wright is Adjunct Associate Professor within the Department of Finance, alongside his position of Associate Professor at Xi'an Jiatong-Liverpool University in China. He has previously held faculty positions at the University of Exeter and University of Nottingham Ningbo, as well as Adjunct positions at several universities in Europe and China. Wright was awarded his PhD in Masters and Accounting from the University of Aberystwyth in 2003, where he also received his Masters (1998).
Wright researches within the areas of corporate tax burdens, stakeholder theory, and portfolio managements. His principal research focus is on corporate tax burden measurement and corporate tax avoidance.
