Anje Müller Gjesdal has been a postdoctoral researcher at NHH since 2014, where she teaches French language and Introduction to French society and economics. Gjesdal has a PhD in French linguistics from the University of Bergen, where she also has a long experience of teaching French grammar and translation studies. From 2011-2014, Gjesdal worked in various national and European projects dedicated to the development and dissemination of digital tools and resources for language analysis (META-NORD, CLARINO, DASISH) and she retains a strong interest in digital humanities, both for teaching and research.

While her PhD thesis focused on the semantics of personal pronouns in different textual genres, her research interests now include corpus-assisted discourse analysis, specialized communication and foreign language learning, and she is currently investigating science communication in digital genres in French and Norwegian.
