Labour Economics Economics of Crime Family Economics

Mirjam Wentzel is a PhD student at FAIR and the Center for Labor Economics. Her main research interests are labor economics, economics of crime and family economics. She joined the department in August 2017.

Mirjam is a member of the ERC project “Criminality, Victimization and Social Interactions” lead by Katrine V. Løken. The main focus on Mirjam’s PhD is using empirical methods to answer questions related to victimization, delinquency and early life conditions.

Mirjam holds a BSc in Political Sciences from Uppsala University and an MSc in Economics from University of Bergen. She has previously worked as an analyst in the Swedish Social Insurance Inspectorate. In 2020/21, she was a visiting PhD student at SOFI, Stockholm University.
