Axel Adam-Müller has held the role of Adjunct Professor at NHH since 2014, alongside his position as Professor of Finance at Trier University (since 2007). He graduated with a Masters in economics from the University of Konstanz, Germany, in 1991 where he also received his doctoral degree in 1994 and his habilitation in 2005.
Following his PhD studies, Adam-Müller worked with BHF Bank AG, Frankfurt am Main (from 1994 to 1996). He returned to the academia (again University of Konstanz) in 1996. In 2003, he joined Lancaster University Management School, UK, as Assistant Professor after four months as a visiting fellow at the Swedish Institute for Financial Research (SIFR), Stockholm, that same year. Adam-Müller has also taught in postgraduate and MBA programs at Warwick Business School and Stockholm University.
Adam-Müller’s research interests include financial risk management, accounting disclosure and corporate cash holdings. His work has been published in the European Economic Review, the Journal of International Money and Finance, the Journal and Banking and Finance and the Journal of Futures Markets.
