Alessandro Pizzigolotto is a PhD Candidate at the Department of Economics of the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH). He joined the department in August 2018.
His research focuses on the use of micro-econometric methods to empirically investigate on topics at the intersection of Political Economy, Culture and Institutions and Household Finance.
Before joining NHH, Alessandro obtained a B.Sc. in Economics and Management and a M.Sc. in Economics and Finance at the University of Padova in Italy, during which he spent an academic year the the University of Helsinki in Finland. Before joining the program, Alessandro worked one year as research assistant at the Directorate General Research of the European Central Bank in Frankfurt am Main in Germany, within the Household Finance and Consumption Network.
