Keynote speaker Fibe 2020

Keynote speaker at FIBE 2020 is Professor Alex Edmans.

Alex EdmansAlex Edmans is Professor of Finance at London Business School, Academic Director of the Centre for Corporate Governance, and Managing Editor for Review of Finance.

He has published in the American Economic Review, Journal of Finance, Journal of Financial Economics, and Review of Financial Studies. 

More recently, Alex has been applying the insights from academic research to help reform business so that it better serves society.

He has spoken at the World Economic Forum in Davos, testified in the UK House of Commons, and given the TED talk “What to Trust in a Post-Truth World” and the TEDx talk “The Social Responsibility of Business”. 

He gave a 2018-9 public lecture series on how “Business Can Better Serve Society”, and was appointed (jointly with PwC) by the UK Government to study how share buybacks affect executive pay and investment. 

His book, “Grow the Pie: How Great Companies Deliver Both Purpose and Profit” will be published in early 2020.
