Tax Havens, Capital Flows and Developing Countries Lifting the Veil of Secrecy

Leading academics, practitioners and investigative journalists from all over the world, will meet in Bergen, Norway, 21 to 22 November 2016 to present state of the art research on tax havens, elite behaviour and international taxation, and discuss how tax havens affect developing countries. What is the role of the tax avoidance industry? How can the challenges that tax havens represent be mitigated?

There will be keynotes, plenary sessions and a panel debate. The conference and the conference dinner on 21 November are free of charge, but note that there is only a limited number of seats available.

The conference will be hosted by  Chr. Michelsen Institute (CMI) and NHH - Norwegian School of Economics. It is organised in collaboration with Tax Justice Network Norway and the TaxCapDev-network, with financial support from the Research Council of Norway.

The conference will take place at NHH in the historic city of Bergen.
