Has Eduroam stopped functioning properly?

Follow the check list below to solve issues with your wireless connection to eduroam.

You will not necessarily need to do everything on the list, but following these steps solve most issues related to eduroam.

  • Restart your device

    Restart your device

    Sometimes, a restart solves everything.

  • Change your password

    Change your password

Expired passwords may cause problems when you are connected to eduroam using your previous password. Your account is automatically locked after five failed login attempts.

You can reset your password or unlock your account by following the intstructions on selfservice.nhh.no/passwordreset

Your password must contain at least 12 characters in total, one capital letter, and one number. It may not contain your name (or parts of it) or any Norwegian special characters æ, ø, or å.

Please make sure that you are able to log on your student email account at https://owa.nhh.no using your new password, before proceeding.

  • Remove and add eduroam

    Remove and add eduroam

Remove eduroam from the list of known wireless networks.

Add eduroam to your device by following the instructions on helpdesk.nhh.no or use the side menu to navigate to our Wi-Fi guides.

  • Remove old certificates

    Remove old certificates

Old certificates sometimes create issues with your eduroam connection. Open Keychain Access  by searching for keychain in your Mac's search function (Spotlight)

In the keychain windows, search for radius.nhh.no and delete that entry.

Remove eduroam from your list of known wireless networks, and add it again.

  • Update your operating system

    Update your operating system

Install security updates and make sure that you have the latest version of your computer's operating system.

By running older versions of your computer's operating system you are running the risk of being exposed to security threats that have been fixed in later releases of your operating system.

Please note that your computer may experience reduced perfomance when upgrading to a new operating system on an "old" computer. At least make sure that you are using the latest version of the operating system you have installed. For example, if you are using Mac OS X 10.10, upgrade to 10.10.5.
