Julia is an applied microeconomist with research interests in labour, migration, and education. She has several lines of active research examining the causes and consequences of high-skilled immigration, labour market institutions and immigrant workers, local impacts of immigration enforcement policies, climate change and migration, and attitude formation towards immigrants and racial minorities.
Julia joined the Department of Economics and the FAIR Centre in August 2022. She received her PhD from Cornell University.
