Research and Publications

NHH and its affiliated foundations constitute the largest concentrated centre for research and study in the fields of economics and business administration in Norway. Through extensive links with various actors in both public and private sectors, skills and knowledge in the fields of management and economics are shared with both the business community and public institutions and organisations. Various agreements with several major Norwegian businesses provide the opportunity for the School to develop what is needed and desired by both business and the society as a whole.

The publications by the faculty at NHH include books, monographs, articles published in international and domestic journals as well as proceedings, Festschrifts and similar material. Several departments have their own discussion paper series. In addition, a great number of working papers and reports written by NHH faculty members are being published by SNF (Institute for Research in Economics and Business Administration).

The list of publications and research reports spans a wide range of disciplines within economics and business administration and some affiliated subjects like geography, law, economic history and languages. The multitude of issues covered by the scientific contributions reflects the various subjects taught at NHH, but it also reflects the wide range of research interests of the staff members within each discipline. Traditionally, business finance and economics were the main areas in which NHH made most of the contributions to the international research literature. While these fields have retained their importance in the research activities at NHH, other disciplines have increasingly made their mark on the international literature in recent years.

More information on the recent publications of each department and SNF can be found on our Research & Publications page and at SNF (Foundation for Research in Economics and Business Administration)
