NHH carries out an employment market survey each year, with a questionnaire sent out to graduates six months after they finish at the school. Amongst other things, the survey provides data on the employment rate of graduates, the sectors they choose to work in and the salaries they earn.

The 2006 employment survey indicates that the 100% of NHH MSc graduates were in full-time employment or further studies six months after graduation. The results of the survey showed further that all those who had actively sought emplyment after graduation had successfully found a job within six months. The majority of these hd already received offers of employment before graduation from NHH. These figures reflect a continuing trend of high demand for NHH graduates in the market place.
Banking and financial services is the largest destination for NHH graduates, followed by consulting and accounting. The consulting sector has grown in significance over the last years, as has the consumer goods sector. The chart below illustrates the main employment destinations for NHH graduates.

At over €40,000, the average starting salary for NHH graduates is relatively high compared with other Norwegian universities and colleges, and it also compares well with other masters programmes in Europe. As would be expected, average salaries vary by sector. They range from about €35,000 in transportation and shipping to over €45,000 in consulting.
