Graduate Summer School

Managing natural resources at the top of Europe

Norway is abundantly endowed with natural resources and the utilisation of its resource base has strongly influenced the industrial structure, foreign trade, economic development and welfare of the country. The country has not suffered many of the curses that plague other resource-rich countries, such as corruption or the “Dutch disease”.

Norway has consistently been ranked by the UN as the best country in the world to live in, and the World Economic Forum has ranked Norway as one of the top 20 most competitive countries globally.
