The International Committee
NHH has a very active student tradition, and the exchange students are no different. The International Committee (part of NHHS - the NHH student association) organises social events and activities for all the exchange students at NHH, including boat cruises, mountain hikes, visits to destinations in Norway of particular interest, social activities and parties. The international committee also administers the mentor programme for exchange students.

In addition to organising Welcome Week for exchange students, the International Committee also organise a regular programme of social events throughout the semester to help the students get to know each other and to introduce them to Norwegian culture and the beautiful Norwegian nature. The Taste of Norway evening during Welcome Week and the autumn cabin trip are two events not to be missed.
Mentor programme
All exchange students get a student contact person at NHH - a mentor. The International Committee will send you a note telling the name and address of your mentor a few weeks before school starts. It is common that the mentor and the exchange student write a letter to each other with a short presentation a few weeks before arrival.
When you arrive in Bergen, you will be met by your mentor or somebody from the International committee/office. Your mentor will help you with the formalities at the beginning of the semester, and if you have any questions about practical matters regarding the school, the student organisations or Bergen, your mentor may be the right person to ask.
At the beginning of the autumn semester, there will be a fabulous Mentors' Party. This is the day when all new students, both foreign and Norwegian, meet their mentors. The mentors arrange a wild party for the first year students. Later on, in November, the first year students organise a return party for their dearly beloved mentors.
At the beginning of the spring semester, the International Committee and the mentors of the exchange students organise another Mentors party. However, this party is for exchange students only.
