Otherwise, exemption may only be granted on the basis of courses that have been passed before admission to the Master of Science programme at NHH. If the student has proceeded directly from the bachelor programme at NHH, exemptions are only granted on the basis of courses passed before admission to the fice-year program. Excepted from this are courses taken in connection with cooperative agreements between NHH and other Norwegian institutions.
Detailed rules about the processing of applications for exemption may be given by the Master Programme Board and will appear in the curriculum.
Section 10 Diplomas and transcripts
When the Master of Science degree is awarded, a diploma is produced containing the grades achieved for each course and their relative weightings. The diploma states in which term the candidate took the final examination. It is a precondition for the issue of a diploma that the curriculum has been adhered to and pass achieved.
Courses that have been included from other educational institutions are indicated in the grade certificate as "exempt".
The diploma is issued in Norwegian. Students who complete the programme with a major profile in International Business will have the diploma issued in English. A separate diploma supplement provides a description in English of the candidate's qualification and the Norwegian educational system.
On request, students can have transcripts issued after examinations have been passed. The transcript states the grade for the various courses and their relative weightings. If examinations have been repeated, the best grade achieved is entered on the transcript. A passed course cannot be removed from the transcript.
Separate grade certificates are issued for courses that have been taken in addition to the requirements of the curriculum.
Section 11 Validity etc.
These regulations come into force on 1 August 2004.
