Semesterregistration - FAQ and error messages

Before sending any error messages, please check this list.

  • Why am I told that I am not registered in the data base?
  • Only students that have been admitted to one or several of the schools programs are registered in the data base and are therefore allowed to register. Please contact the Information Center.
  • Why am I told that I have not paid the semester fee?

  • Can I register via the Internet when I have paid the semester fee to a local student welfare organization?
  • See Semester fee payment.
     
  • What can I do if I have forgotten my PIN code or if I have no PIN code?
  • If you have received a giro form for the semester fee from NHH, your PIN code will be printed on this form. You may contact the Info Center if you have problems or questions regarding your PIN code. If you are a new student, you will be asked to make up your own code the first time you enter the program
     
  • Where do I find the code for the course/subject in which I want to take an exam/for which I want to register?
  • Click the button "Find subject" in the Registration for exams picture. You will then move to a page named Exam subject. If you do not know which subject code to use, you may enter the name of the subject in the field "Subject" (e.g. mathematics, statistics, macro economics). A list of subject codes will then be displayed on the screen (e.g. MAT020 for the mathematical methods course). Select the correct subject code.

  • Why am I told that the semester registration program is unable to update my examination registration?
  • This is due to an error that will be corrected as soon as possible. You must click the button "Cancel" , and register again. If you are unable to proceed after you have entered your 11-digit ID number (your birth date: dd/mm/yy plus the five extra digits on your matriculation certificate), you must wait approx. 30 seconds before you try to register again. We apologize for this program error.
       
  • Why am I unable to write text in the field?
  • You must click with your mouse directly in the field where you want to write. This is necessary to activate the marker.
      
  • Why did I return to the NHH website on semester registration including examination registration?
  • If you do not enter anything on your machine during a 30 minute interval, the registration will automatically be interrupted. No information registered before the interruption will be saved. In such cases you will have to re-register.
     
  • Error messages
  • If you experience any technical and/or logical errors in the semester registration pictures etc, please send an e-mail to Terje.Berger@nhh.no. In order to find and correct any errors, it is important that you provide us with a best possible description of the problem. Describe therefore what kind of information you were about to enter, what response the program gave you and any error messages. You will not receive any return message if an error has been corrected

For other kinds of problems (e.g. concerning the semester fee, PIN codes etc), or any problems regarding subject codes, examination arrangements etc that you are unable to solve by means of the auxiliary functions in the picture, please contact the Information Center
