Regulations for Distribution of a Publications Bonus at NHH
Reviewed as at 25.04.2006
- NHH pays its employees bonuses for publication in selected international journals.
A list of these selected journals can be found here.
- All NHH employees in permanent and tenured positions, including Research Scholars, Assistant Professors and retired professors, qualify for this bonus. Adjunct Professors (Professor II) also qualify, provided they make reference to NHH, and they have a co-author who is employed in a full-time position at NHH.
- Publications in journals that are not in the form of articles, but rather, comments, notes, shorter papers, can qualify for the whole, half or no bonus. This is decided by the Research Board.
- NHH gives bonuses up to 80,000 kroner according to an employees’ share in writing for the publication. A sole author will receive the whole bonus. If a publication has more than one author and all authors are employed by NHH, bonuses are distributed evenly amongst them. If an article has more than one author, and only one of these authors is employed at NHH, the bonus is divided by the number of authors, and the NHH employee given their share. Any co-authors not employed by NHH will receive nothing.
- To qualify for a bonus, employees must show evidence of documentation in one of the qualifying international journals, and evidence of reference made to NHH as the research institution, within the same publication.
- NHHs journal list is revised every three years, with the next revision to occur in Spring 2009. Employees can still receive bonuses for publication in journals up to three years after they have been removed from the list.
Additional information:
- Recipients can choose how to receive their bonuses – these can be distributed as part of an employee’s monthly wage or as part of their annual research grant (annum).
