Every year a small group of 10-20 highly qualified applicants from many countries are admitted to the PhD programme. For success in the programme, creativity, imagination, ability to provide deep insights and criticism, and a predisposition toward being independently motivated are significant aspects.

Admission to the PhD programme is formally administered by Programutvalget for doktorgradsutdanning (PDU - the Doctoral Programme Board), but the individual evaluation of faculty members from the particular research group within which an applicant wishes to pursue his/her education is important in the decision making process. 

Requirements

Applicants who have at least a Master of Science or comparable academic degree will be considered for admission. An additional requirement is that the academic education has to include at least one-and-a-half years of studies in business administration or economics.

Online application

There will be two intakes before August 2012:

  • The deadline for the first intake is 1 November 2011 (expired)
  • The deadline for the second intake is 1 February 2012

 

NHH uses an online application process for the PhD programme, and all required information must be submitted electronically when you apply.


Applications will not be considered complete until all the required information has been received, and incomplete applications will not be evaluated.
