Language resources and technology
NHH has a long record in theoretical and applied studies based on electronic language resources, including corpora, termbases and ontologies, knowledge management systems etc. We are active in developing our own monolingual and multilingual resources and exploiting them in empirical research, especially within the department’s key research areas of professional and academic communication. These resources include spoken and written corpora, termbases, technology for semi-automatic corpus-based term-extraction, web-based corpora and parallel corpora containing translations of texts from various specialist domains. Our portfolio includes projects and publications of an empirical, theoretical and methodological nature.
