Conference Venue

Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration (NHH)

The conference will be held at the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration (NHH - How to get to NHH, Map) in Bergen, Norway (more about Bergen).

NHH is located in the outer part of the city centre. It is surrounded by a small park and is an impressive venue overlooking the harbour towards the city of Bergen and its surrounding islands. The school contains modern lecture and meeting facilities, computer laboratories, and free wireless internet access is available in most areas.

Since its establishment in 1936, NHH has become the leading centre for research and education within the fields of economic and business administration in Norway. It consists today of roughly 150 core faculty members actively engaged in research and teaching across several disciplines. Within the field of finance the list of international renowned faculty members has included Karl Borch, co-founder of modern risk theory, Jan Mossin, one of the fathers of the Capital Asset Pricing Model (CAPM), and Finn Kydland, winner of the Nobel Prize for Economics in 2004.

NHH has 3000 full-time students across a wide range of Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, Executive MBA, and PhD programs. The school launched Norway’s first English-taught master program in 1986 and has awarded doctoral degrees since 1957. NHH also has the longest established Executive MBA program in the country. Today the school offers six full degree executive programs, and a selection of open and custom non-degree programs.

NHH is less than a 10 minute bus ride from the city centre. Alternatively, on a nice day, delegates may choose to walk the 40-45 minutes distance, enjoying the open air museum of “Old Bergen” along the route.
