PhD workshop

The Departments of economics of the University of Bergen and the Norwegian School of Economics organize a
one day PhD workshop on Monday, May 21, 2012 (10am - 6pm)

The aim of this workshop is to give PhD students in Economics the opportunity to present their work and to get acquainted with fellow PhD students from Norway and faculty in Bergen.  The programme consists of paper presentations by PhD students followed by prepared discussions by fellow PhD students. The workshop will take place at NHH in Bergen.  It is sponsored by the Norwegian Research Council’s fund for promoting doctoral education in economics.  Part of the funding is reserved for travel and accommodation expenses of PhD students from outside Bergen. Paper submissions are invited from PhD students enrolled at a Norwegian university in any field of economics.
The organizing and programme committee consists of Astrid Kunze (NHH), Fred Schroyen (NHH), and Sigve Tjøtta (University of Bergen).

Applications
Those who wish to participate are invited to submit a complete paper together with their CV to astrid.kunze@nhh.no.  The deadline for submissions is Monday, April 2, 2012.  Applicants will be notified about the decision of the programme committee by April 22. 
Funding
Travel grant applications should be submitted to Dagny Kristiansen (dagny.kristiansen@nhh.no).  These applications should include an estimate of the cost of travel and accommodation.  The deadline for travel grant applications is Monday, April 2, 2012.
