Gunnar S. Eskeland

Endowed Professorship from Sparebanken Vest

 

Gunnar S. Eskeland is professor of economics, a position financed by Sparebanken Vest’s broad range of public service efforts which includes environmental and climate economics at NHH.

Eskeland came from a position as senior researcher at CICERO (Centre for International Climate and Environmental Research, Oslo). He is an economist with a PhD from NHH. Additionally, Eskeland has work experience from the World Bank, SNF, Klosters and Statoil. 

Eskeland has worked a great deal with international themes connected to economic politics and sustainable development, he has also been the co-auther of the World Bank’s World Development Report 2003. His other areas of interest are technological development and climate politics, as well as political questions related to collaboration between nations.
