EndNote Web

As a part of the library's subscription with ISI Web of Knowledge, we can offer all students and employees at NHH free access to the reference management tool EndNote Web.

EndNote web can help you do the following:

Collect/import references from external sources
Store your references in different folders/collections as you wish
Easily select the reference style that suits your needs
Keep the in-text citations and reference lists updated and correctly formatted
Make reference lists and insert citations in Word-documents

Access

EndNote Web is a web-based tool. In order to get access, you will need to make yourself a user profile in the reference database ISI Web of Knowledge. User profiles are a free service to NHH-users.

In the right hand side menu, you will see a box named "customize your experience", with a link to the registration form. When the registration is completed, and username/password is obtained, you are ready to log on to ISI Web of Knowledge. When logged in, the link "my EndNote Web" will be visible at the top of the screen. That is really all you will have to do in order to get started. As a logged-in user you will also benefit from other search-related tools, as the possibility to save searches or set up automatic alerts.

Using EndNote Web

The reference management tool is useful for faculty members and graduate/post-graduate students. Other students writing a longer assignment can also find the tool useful.

EndNote Web allows you to collect your references from online sources, like Bibsys, Library of Congress or the ISI reference base itself. It is also possible to export references from various sources into EndNote Web. Your references are easily sorted into forlders for assignments or projects, making it easier to start collecting references early in the writing-process.
