The Funds Committee (FUF)
(delegated authority by the Funds Board since 28 January 2003)
Composition
The members of the Funds Committee are employees who hold the following offices at NHH: the Pro-rector (chairman), the head of departments and the treasurer of the Student Union (NHHS). In addition, NHH’s Managing Director is business manager for the Funds Administration (secretary to FUF), the legal advisor from the Director’s staff is observer, and a case officer from the Funds Administration takes the minutes of the meetings.
In 2010 FUF is chaired by Pro-rector Gunnar E. Christensen. Other members are:
- Sunniva Whittaker (Department of Professional and Intercultural Communication)
- Frode Sættem (Department of Finance and Management Science)
- Katarina Kaarbøe (Department of Accounting, Auditing and Law)
- Øystein Thøgersen (Department of Economics)
- Tor Fredriksen (Department of Strategy and Management)
- Micael Ueland (NHHS – the NHH Student Union)
Main duties
FUF has been delegated authority by the Board to make decisions on the awarding of funds in individual cases on the basis of recommendations by the departments and in accordance with the guidelines for making awards from the funds. The Funds Board must be informed about the Committee’s decisions.
If the Funds Committee finds it expedient, it can recommend to the Funds Board that a ceiling should be set on the amount that can be awarded to any individual or group or for a particular purpose in one and the same year.
