Housing loans
Permanent employees, temporary employees who are employed full-time for a period of at least one year and employees in adjunct professor/adjunct associate professor positions can apply for a housing loan from NHH's fund. The application must be submitted to the administration represented by the legal adviser, who processes applications as they are received.
Loans are granted on the basis of the following criteria:
- The loan amount shall not be higher than 65% of the mortgage appraisal. When purchasing a home, the loan amount can be up to 80% of the mortgage appraisal if the applicant is under the age of 40 and the application for a loan is received within three years of the applicant taking over the home. As a rule, if a mortgage appraisal is used, it cannot be older than two years.
- Loans of up to NOK 400,000 can be granted to employees who are younger than 40 years or whose length of service is less than two years.
- Loans of up to NOK 300,000 can be granted to other employees.
- A loan of up to NOK 600,000 can be granted to married couples/cohabitants if both parties are employed by NHH.
- The interest rate on the loan is stipulated as the norm rate plus 0.25 percentage points.
