Administrative Leadership
The Managing Director has day-to-day responsibility for the administrative activities at NHH and also acts as the secretary to the board, with responsibility for preparing matters of discussion for the board and advising the board with regard to these matters.
Managing Director: Ole Hope
Ole Hope grew up in Bergen and graduated from the Royal Norwegian Naval Academy in 1986. He has been director of the theatre Den Nationale Scene in Bergen, the Grieghall, and has held different director positions in the Insurance company TrygVesta.
Hope recieved his PhD at NHH May 2010 at the department of strategy and management.
Hope was appointed Managing Director at NHH in September 2010.
Deputy Managing Director: Kurt Petersen
Petersen originally comes from Haugesund and graduated with the Siviløkonom degree from NHH in 1976. He began working at the school in the same year and started working as an advisor of studies in 1977. Petersen became the head of department for the Office of Academic and Student Affairs in 1989. In 1991 Petersen was appointed as Under Director General and in 2002 he became Deputy Managing Director. Petersen is currently also Chairman of Samordna opptak (the Universities and Colleges Admission Service in Norway).
