International Relations Office

Staff in the International Relations OfficeThe International Relations Office was established at NHH as a separate administrative unit in 1993 to assume responsibility for NHH's international activity. The primary responsibilities of this office are the administration and daily running of the school's institutional cooperation with foreign educational institutions.

The most visible sign of this cooperation is the student exchange programme, which has grown to assume considerable proportions here at NHH. For our outgoing students over 40% of the total number of students enrolled in any one year of our study programmes go abroad and the number of international students we receive from our exchange partners is rapidly growing. These figures are well above the student exchange targets set at both national and European levels. The EU goal, for example, is that 10% of all students in higher education shall participate in an exchange programme.

The majority of NHH's international activities programmes are organised into networks of cooperating institutions, where CEMS (the Global Alliance in Management Education) is the most important. The International Relations Office plays a vital role in coordinating NHH's CEMS responsibilities. NHH is also an active participant in educational programmes under NORDPLUS and ERASMUS and a member of the global network Partnership in International Management (PIM).

In total, we now have established forms of cooperation with over 130 institutions abroad, which include highly recognised universities and business schools. The function of the International Relations Office is to serve as a link between the students and the staff at NHH and our foreign partners. In other words, the International Relations Office functions as a service and information centre for NHH's international activities.
