The Global Alliance in Management Education (CEMS)
The Global Alliance in Management Education (CEMS) is an alliance of business and higher education. It currently comprises 27 world class academic institutions worldwide and over 50 of the world’s leading multinational companies.
CEMS sets a global standard of excellence in management education, through its unique Master in Management (CEMS MIM) degree programme, taught at each of its member universities. The CEMS MIM is nurtured by a long-standing teaching and research cooperation between all parties. The Financial Times rated the CEMS MIM programme as second overall in their 2006 and 2007 ranking of top European Masters in Management programmes, up from third place in 2005.
The partnership in CEMS is prestigious, and only one school from each country is awarded partnership. The Corporate Partners participate relative to the academic elements within CEMS, but they also get a unique opportunity to recruit the best students from the CEMS MIM. CEMS is officially recognised by the EU commission as best practice-model for international management-education.
CEMS also offers an outstanding level of cultural diversity. Over 2,500 CEMS graduates of 35 different nationalities currently occupy positions at various management levels in a broad range of industry sectors across Europe and beyond. CEMS alumni hold senior corporate management positions across all major activity sectors. These are truly citizens of the world – dynamic, multicultural, open-minded and with the highest professional standards. They are successful in their chosen profession, share global values, and participate in CEMS Alumni social and professional events. 35% of CEMS alumni live and work in a foreign country.
CEMS management expertise is now acquiring a global reach through the integration of associate academic members from outside of Europe. Members of CEMS form part of a highly professional, multicultural exchange of management ideas that represents the future of European business. NHH has been a member of CEMS since 1992.
